The first visit
One visit to map the house
We call it the House Map. Whose dresser is whose, which rod the blouses go on, where the linen shelf lives, and which doors we do not open. After that first visit, a lockbox, a door code, or being home all work, and codes live on your Household Card in our system, never in an email or a text thread.
House Map: illustration, not your address
One map, kept on your Household Card. If a room changes, tell us once.
Primary
Rod left of window. Top two drawers.
Kids’ room
Bottom two drawers, smaller board.
Hall closet
Linen shelf, second from top. Sets bundled.
Do not enter
Back office. Door stays shut.
Kids home alone: we do not enter
That day becomes a Doorstep drop. No argument at the door, no charge for the change, no exceptions we make quietly.
Evenings, if days do not work
Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30 to 8:00. Same route rules, same fold, same photos.
What we leave behind
An empty House Bag in the hamper spot and a finish card on the counter. The dry weight and any stain notes come by text.
The 45 minutes
What put-away means
01
Hung first
Button-downs, blouses and dresses onto matching hangers, all facing the same direction, top button closed.
02
Filed by person
Tees stand on edge by color. Kids’ tees to a smaller board so they stand in a shallow drawer. Underwear stacked by type.
03
Linens to the shelf
Towels hotel tri-folded by size. Sheet sets bundled inside their own pillowcase and shelved where the map says.
04
Then the clock
$35 covers the first 45 minutes, which is most houses. After that it is $1.10 a minute, and we text before it starts.
Add person bands for $12 and every stack comes with a color per person, on the stack and in the drawer. See the full House Fold spec ยท pricing
The put-away system
Six passes through the house, in the same order every time
Put-away is not carrying a basket upstairs. It is a route through your house that we run identically each visit, so the second week looks like the first and the tenth looks like the second.
Pass 01
Sort to the person
Every piece goes to a named pile before anything is folded. Nothing travels as a household heap, so no one ends up with a sibling’s leggings.
Pass 02
Band and label
A color per person on the stack, and a written label on the drawer face or shelf edge if you want one. Kids learn their own color in a week.
Pass 03
Order by color
Tees stand on edge and run light to dark, left to right. You see the whole drawer at once instead of digging to the bottom for the grey one.
Pass 04
Hang the rod
Matching hangers, hooks all one direction, top button closed, shirts grouped by sleeve length. The rod reads as one line rather than a jumble.
Pass 05
File the drawers
Boarded folds stand upright so a drawer opens like a filing cabinet. Underwear by type, jeans as rectangles, kids’ tees to a smaller board so they hold their shape in a shallow drawer.
Pass 06
Linens and reset
Sheet sets bundled inside their own pillowcase, towels tri-folded by size to the bath, empty House Bag back in the hamper spot, finish card on the counter.
What the house looks like after
You should not be able to tell we were here, except that everything is where it belongs
Shoes stay off
Or covers go on, whichever you prefer. Say once and it is on your Household Card.
Doors as you left them
Closed doors stay closed. Marked rooms are not entered, even to drop a stack.
Nothing moved
We work around what is on the dresser. We do not tidy your things to make room for ours.
Quiet visit
No radio, no speaker, no calls in your hallway. Naps and meetings survive the appointment.
Book the first visit
Pick a window, tell us who will be home, and we will text the morning of with a name and an ETA.
